Finance

The Finance Department Is responsible for all accounting functions for the City including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, cash management (including investments), cash receipts, employee benefits (including non-uniform pension), and financial statement preparation.

The Current Tax Rate is 10%

• State of Arkansas Sales Tax: 6.5%
• City of Ward Tax: 2%
  • .50% to the Fire Department
  • .50% to the Police Department
  • 1% to General Fund
• Lonoke County Tax: 1.5%
